Christmas 2021

The holiday season is fast approaching and we're sure you're looking forward to summer and some time out over the holidays. 
To help with Christmas order queries we have included our studio hours below and some answers to frequently asked questions.

Our 2021/22 holiday hours are:
• Closed on the 27th and 28th of December.
• Reduced hours from the 24th to the 10th of January.
• Closed on the 3rd and 4th of January.
From the 24th of December to the 10th of January we will be checking emails but working reduced hours and we will be closed for all public holidays.
If you have any questions during this time the best way to contact us is by email. Our studio is based at our home so we will be available for any questions but we will not be making canvases during this time.

What’s the deadline for Christmas delivery?
Thanks for all your support this festive season. Due to the huge increase in orders this year we have had to put a strict order deadline in place.

• Orders MUST be placed on or before the 1st of December
• Please don’t order after 1st December and hope we will just make it happen ;-) 

Can I place an order after the deadline?

Yes, you can place orders after the 1st of December as we don't turn off our website but please expect it to arrive mid January after we return to work fully. If we clear our Christmas orders earlier than expected you ‘may’ receive it before Christmas, but this is not guaranteed. Orders will be made and shipped on a first come first served basis until we run out of time.

Can I collect my order?

Yes, if you would like to collect your order from our studio, please email us for a ‘local pick up’ discount code. This can be used at the time of order, so you won’t be charged for shipping. Please note the deadline applies to all orders whether we are shipping, or you are collecting.

Our studio is based in Laingholm and collection times are by appointment only please don’t just turn up. Also have a quick look at Google Maps to see where we are as we are a 15-minute drive from Titirangi Village. It's a lovely drive but make sure you know how far away we are. 

Do you offer an Express Shipping Service?

Sorry, this is not possible in December as NZ Post do not guarantee their overnight service during this time. The easiest way to guarantee pre-Christmas delivery is to order as soon as possible.

Which Courier do you use to send my order?

We have an account with NZ Post (Courier Post) they collect from our studio daily and we send all our orders tracked and signed. North Island can be as fast as overnight but generally taking about 3-5 days at the moment, South Island is 5 to 7 days roughly although please be patient to allow for delays in the network.

How will I know when my print has shipped?

When your order is ready for shipping you will receive a ' your order is on it's way' message from us with a link to your shipment so you can track your delivery online.

Please make sure you add your shipping address correctly including your postcode. We don't charge extra for rural delivery so use your actual postcode to make sure there are no delays when we try to book the courier. Let us know if there are any special instructions that would help the driver such as ‘shared driveway, house with yellow door’ so we can add a note to the courier label. We send everything tracked and signed for but if you are happy for the courier to leave your parcel, please let us know and we can add a note for the driver. Please remember if you choose to do this it is at your own risk. 

Can I change my delivery address?

Sorry but once shipped we are unable to change your delivery address or give you a specific time for delivery. NZ Post has no facility to make this happen so please ensure someone will be at the address you give or have your order shipped to a work address if that’s an option.

If the courier attempts delivery and there is no one home, they will leave a card to call so you can arrange a redelivery at your convenience.

If you are travelling away from home for Christmas, please allow for this when you provide your delivery address.

Can I order by email or phone instead of on the website?

Yes, no problem at all get in touch and let us know what you are looking for and we can set the order up for you and email you payment details. If we don't answer the phone straight away leave us a message. When we are making orders we can't always get to the phone but we will call you back as soon as we can.

What’s the deadline for gift voucher orders?

Gift vouchers can be ordered online right up to the 25th of December and printed at home. 

If I ask nicely, will you take my order after the 1st of December and get it to me by Christmas?

Sorry we are incredibly grateful to all our customers for their continued support but we thought long and hard about a deadline and the best way to manage orders this year. Given the huge strain the courier networks are under our deadline is set to help us make sure our customers get their My Canvas gifts under the tree on Christmas Eve. So please don’t ask us to try and just squeeze your order in because we will feel sad that we have to say no ;-)
